Did you know?

Torke is best known for his work Javelin, which was commissioned for the opening ceremony of the 1996 Summer Olympics.

Born in 1939, Louis Andriessen is regarded as one of Europe’s most eminent living composers and a central figure in the Dutch contemporary arts scene.

Padding studied composition (with Louis Andriessen) and musicology at the University of Utrecht.

Liverpool-born Martland also studied composition under leading Dutch composer Louis Andriessen.
